Leading Indicator
The Leading Indicator is a composite measure reflecting insights derived from various financial metrics for 5,000 US stocks, as analyzed by Reflexivity. When Reflexivity generates more bullish insights, it suggests upward pressure on the overall market, and conversely, bearish insights indicate potential downward pressure.
Rangefinder
The Rangefinder is an indicator designed to assess the likelihood of the S&P 500 returning to its recent price range. It is calculated by assessing the recent valuation range of the 500 stocks comprising the index. The idea behind this is that as markets start to reverse a trend, the daily highs and lows tend to shift in the direction of the future trend earlier in the day.
Peak Probability
The Peak Probability Index is a metric designed to estimate the likelihood of reaching a peak in the overall market. This index calculates the probability based on recent market movements, adjusted for risk and time, alongside typical responses of the S&P following sustained upward trends.
Trough Probability
The Trough Probability Index measures the likelihood of nearing a trough in the broader market. This index is formulated using a calculation that adjusts for risk and time, assessing the magnitude of recent market fluctuations and the historical responses of the S&P after prolonged downward trends.
Candle Breadth
The Candle Breadth Indicator is generated based on assessing the dispersion of intraday moves across the 1,000 largest US stocks. It looks at how the shift in candle patterns, specifically the change in statistical momentums, can predict price action in the overall market.
Market Phase Shift
The Phase Shift indicator is generated by observing correlation regimes amid stocks, the degree to which assets co-move. It has been observed that when correlation among stocks is high, it usually forewarns of downward moves in the market, while low correlation among stocks is usually associated with healthy markets.
Aggregated Indicator
As the name suggests, the aggregated indicator provides a unified view of all our leading indicators. The indicator works on a “hat trick” logic: it activates when at least 3 individual leading indicators are jointly active within the last 21 days - the idea being that a collation of several indicators expressing different aspects of the market can better gauge turning points.
