Alfred can connect to your Microsoft 365 account, allowing you to search and extract information from your own files, emails, and notebooks alongside Reflexivity's data and the web. Once connected, you can ask Alfred about your Microsoft 365 content using natural language - just as you would any other question.
Connecting Microsoft 365
To connect your account, open Alfred and select Connect Microsoft 365 in the left hand sidebar.
You'll be able to choose which data sources Alfred can access:
- SharePoint & OneDrive - Search and browse SharePoint & OneDrive files and folders
- Outlook - Search and read Outlook email messages
- OneNote - Search and read OneNote notebooks and pages
Each source connects independently, so you can enable only the ones you want. A green Connected label appears next to any source Alfred currently has access to. To disconnect or manage a source, select the ... menu next to it.
You may need your IT professional to grant access prior to connecting. You can read more details on troubleshooting connecting errors here.
What you can do with Microsoft 365 in Alfred
Once connected, you can ask Alfred to work across your Microsoft 365 content. For example:
- SharePoint & OneDrive: Pull key points from saved research, broker reports, filings, prior analysis, and decks without reading everything end to end. Locate the latest version of a model or template buried in folders, or compare documents across versions.
- Outlook: Summarize your inbox, draft replies, pull out action items and deadlines, and prep for upcoming meetings and calls.
- OneNote: Summarize notebooks and pages, and surface notes related to a specific topic, meeting, or holding.
You can also combine sources in a single request - for example, "Summarize this client's recent emails, pull their holdings from my OneDrive spreadsheet, and draft a check-in note."
Directing Alfred to a specific source
You can ask Alfred to search a specific connected source by naming it in your prompt. For example:
- "Search my OneDrive for the latest version of the Q2 model."
- "Check my Outlook for any emails from the client this week."
- "Look through my OneNote for my notes on the earnings call."
If you don't specify a source, Alfred will determine which connected sources are most relevant to your question.
A note on sensitive data
Alfred only accesses the Microsoft 365 sources you choose to connect, and you can disconnect any source at any time. As with any Alfred output, review anything tied to investment or client decisions before acting, and make sure your firm's policy permits routing sensitive data through connected tools.
